Turkish Bazar is a third-generation rug house born in Kashmir in 1950 and re-imagined in New York by a daughter carrying her grandfather’s legacy forward. Every piece in our collection is handwoven by master artisans—many of them women leading weaving cooperatives in remote villages—or sourced as a rare antique from markets across the world. We don’t just sell rugs; we steward stories, lineages, and livelihoods.
In 1996, my father carried a bundle of Kashmiri rugs to the United States and changed the trajectory of our family forever. Today, I carry his vision into a new generation—rooted in the same integrity, now told in a woman’s voice.’ – Founder
Every rug we offer carries a story—handwoven in our family karkhana in Kashmir or sourced from trusted workshops and markets around the world. We meticulously inspect and document each piece so you can invest with confidence, knowing its origin, age, and construction. When a project calls for something truly personal, our bespoke program lets you customize size, weave, and palette using hand-spun wool, fine silk, and time-honored natural dyes.
